Our Workers’ Compensation lawyers strive to help employers minimize their exposure and the impact of workers’ compensation claims throughout Delaware, Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. They provide counsel to a wide range of employers, from small businesses to national and international corporations.

PRACTICAL AND COST EFFECTIVE

When employees claim job-related injuries and disorders, clients count on our team for practical and cost-effective solutions. They know our lawyers help them understand and assess the value of claims, and that we work closely with them to develop a strategy for resolving each claim that aligns with their business and financial objectives. They know that we bring the collective knowledge and experience of the entire team to bear on each individual claim.

And they know that we get results. In one recently concluded matter, a concrete-supplier client took our advice to aggressively fight an employee’s claim of a work-related illness caused by the concrete powder to which he was regularly exposed while on the job. We disputed the claim through litigation on their behalf, bringing in experts to demonstrate that the powder was not responsible for the employee’s disease. As a result, the judge issued a complete denial of the claim, finding that the employee’s illness had nothing to do with his workplace. The judge dismissed a claim which could have cost our client more than $500,000 in immediate benefits, plus exposure throughout the employee’s lifetime.

 COMPREHENSIVE REPRESENTATION

The lawyers in our Workers’ Compensation practice – including those who have spent a portion of their legal careers representing injured workers – regularly draw upon the full resources of the firm’s Employment team to identify solutions to complex issues that often arise in connection with workers’ compensation claims. These include employee terminations, allegations of ADA and FMLA violations, workplace safety charges and more.

In addition, we work closely with our clients to develop holistic programs that limit exposure and costs stemming from employee injuries. We seek out opportunities to reduce the financial burden of their workers’ compensation programs, including pursuing recovery of benefits paid by Pennsylvania employers from the state’s Supersedeas Fund.
