George has more than 40 years of experience in commercial transactions, real estate, land use, zoning, corporate law, banking and finance in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition to his private land development practice, during his career he has also served as solicitor to numerous planning and zoning boards throughout New Jersey. George was also the founder of a publicly traded community bank in New Jersey, and spent 5 years as its CEO. This experience provided him with special insights and experiences in the banking industry, commercial transactions, and banking regulation.
Based on his substantial experience as an attorney and banker, George understands both the banker and borrower perspectives, and is particularly skilled in brining borrowers and lenders together to complete transactions successfully. George has represented borrowers and lenders, in traditional debt financing, securitized financing, and tax-free bond financing involving banks, insurance companies, private equity, and finance companies.
George has built a track record over many years in practice representing parties in both buy and sell transactions, land development, redevelopment, and highly specialized land use litigation. In his land development practice, he represents both national and public developers and local landowners and developers in land use matters. He also has experience handling cases involving affordable housing, residential development, commercial and retail development, rezoning, power generation facilities, Brownsfields development, and Pineland development and regulation.
