Kelly is a Partner who focuses her practice on the defense of workers’ compensation claims and on employment law.  Her clientele includes companies in a wide array of industries, including retail, staffing, manufacturing, restaurant, and hospitality.  Additionally, Kelly has experience working with small family-owned businesses.

Kelly began her career as an attorney for the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, which provided her a solid foundation in workers’ compensation matters and appeals that follow.  For there, she joined Gallagher Bassett, a third-party administrator, where she was part of a management team and handled complex litigated workers’ compensation claims.

In her current role, Kelly draws from her prior experiences with the Appeal Board and in the insurance industry, to provide her clients with a thorough understanding of the workers’ compensation claims and employment law issues that they face.  She emphasizes the importance of understanding her clientele’s business needs, to provide a more tailored approach to their claims’ handling and employment law issues.  Further, her prior experience in working at Gallagher Bassett allows her to more effectively connect with claims professionals in a way that lawyers without this experience have difficulty in doing.  Kelly also takes pride in her ability to convey complex legal analysis and concepts to her clients—a skill she developed through more than a decade of teaching and mentoring students as a college professor.
