Laura focuses her practice on general negligence, product liability, premises liability, motor vehicle liability, toxic tort, trucking, catastrophic personal injury. Over her career, she has successfully defended corporations, business owners, insurance companies and individuals against personal injury and property damage claims.
Laura gained experience representing a variety of clients, across a number of regional jurisdictions, developing her capacity to quickly learn and implement state laws and regulations. She developed her litigation skills while representing physicians and facilities in medical, nursing homes and professional malpractice cases in Maryland and the District of Columbia. She also handled numerous transportation/trucking, premises liability, personal injury, hurricane, construction, and property damage claims in Louisiana. Laura has also represented contractors and manufacturers in products liability, asbestos and toxic tort cases.
Laura has tried several cases to verdict, as well as obtained favorable results for clients through motions practice, settlements, and arbitrations. She enjoys working with clients to develop strategies to avoid potential litigation through risk management and accident prevention.
